Stop the Texas SAVE Act

Extreme politicians in Texas are trying to pass SB 16/HB 5337, a local version of the national SAVE Act. This bill would require every current and future Texas voter to provide documented proof of citizenship, like a passport or birth certificate with their current legal name.

Over ten million citizens in Texas do not have a valid U.S. passport, and six million married women in Texas do not have a birth certificate that matches their legal name. SB 16/HB 5337 would create barriers to the ballot box for millions of citizens in Texas.

We have time to stop this voter suppression bill from passing, but only if we act now.

In two clicks, make a call to your state representative to demand they reject SB 16/HB 5337 and protect Texans’ freedom to vote.
